Atop the Santa Cruz Mountains, a CZU burn rebuild rises two stories above the treetops, offering sustainable and fire-hardened materials, and spacious living with all the comforts of a modern new construction home.
Custom homes are a specialty for us. After the destructive Santa Cruz Mountains CZU fire devastated many Bonny Doon homes in 2020, we were called upon to rebuild this house from the foundation up.
Rising two stories above the treetops, this custom home features an attached ADU, an in-ground swimming pool, and out-buildings. The mountain retreat offers sustainable and fire-hardened materials, and spacious living with all the comforts of a modern new-construction home.
Its design stands in contrast to the mountain scenery, allowing the natural beauty of the surroundings to stand out center stage. And it was a joy to build.
